I have been busy making cards.... sorry I haven't posted!

I think it has been the cooler weather...I have been designing and making lots of cards (Mom has too!) and have forgotten to take pics and post to the blog!  So here are a bunch (love them) of Xmas cards, a few Thanksgiving.
**If you are going to order Christmas Cards sets of 12 or 24+, I need your orders in no later than Nov 18th to guarantee you will have them by December 4th.  I do have some cards made up in smaller packs, quantities, if you just need a special few.***  Hope you enjoy!

Other than Christmas, Thanksgiving and Halloween!

Today, Mom and I spent the day working on what else....cards!  I finished an order (12 pack of assorted cards: 3 Female Bday, 3 Male Bday, 3 Thank You and 3 Other cards) that are being given as teacher's/assistant teacher's gifts at Christmas time.  What a great gift, I may be biased, but I am not sure who wins on the receiving end- the teacher or the person she sends a card to!!! :)  Anyways, here are a few of the cards made today.  Don't worry, we are still working on Christmas card designs.  I have one to show you later...the cutest snowman who is wishing you a merry little christmas!  Hope you enjoy!

I love this card and paper!  The inside says: Thinking of You!

Oh...but I love this paper and stamp too!

A Sympathy Card: Inside says With Prayers and Heartfelt Sympathy

Happy National Card Making Day (weekend!)

Saturday, October 3rd was National Card Making Day!  So I got all my house work done early in the morning, put a pot roast in the crock pot and went to work in my scrapbook room.  Here are a few of the cards I had fun making!  Also I have made a decision to extend the National Card Making Day to Sunday (today) as well :)!  Let's see what I can whip up!  Hope you enjoy!

This card was for my girlfriend's nephew who turned 1 this weekend!

A Thanksgiving Card, and I got to use my new Stickles!

A Get Well Card, which brings along a little sunshine!

This card I designed and made for a friend, who recently got the bling-bling ring!
I loved this card so much, I had to make an extra for me to keep! :)

Worked my fingers to the Bone!!!

Today I signed up for a class at the local, independently owned scrap book store called Scrapbook Gadgets.  The owner Angela has a small store, with mostly just gadgets, hard to find at the chain stores and an on-line website (http://www.scrapbookgadgets.com/).  So when she emailed me that she was going to do a class using lots of new products, techniques, I was quick to sign up.  It was planned for 1 1/2 hours, I figured 2 hours, as I have been to these types before, and they never are out on time.  But when I hit the 4 hour mark and my fingers were raw, stained and I couldn't see straight anymore....I took one look at the finished product (proudly) and said it was well worth it!  This is Angela's design/sketch, of course for those of you that know how I follow directions in these types of classes (NOT!) it has some Shannon flair!  Let's just say, this one will go on display every Halloween in my house and NO (let me repeat NO) I will not be making these to sell-it was HARD!  But I did walk away with a beautiful piece of art, and lots of lessons to apply to my cards, (of course with a bag full of new goodies from the store :)!)  It is a 12" x12" collage, matted with lots of detail you have to see in person.  I used all sorts of products (mostly new to me) like grunge paper, stickles, distressing inks, alcohol inks, and my first time sewing on a scrap book project with a sewing stencil and embroidery floss.  Do you like the rose?  Yes, I made that out of grunge paper layers, 5 thick, stained it (my fingers are still that color "terra cotta" and probably will be for a week-I have washed them 50 times already!) but it is lovely!  I can't wait to encorporate some of these new techniques/gadgets in my cards! Hope you enjoy!

Fun, Fun, Fun

I needed to take a break from Halloween, so I dug through my scrap paper box and started on these cards.
I am not a big fan of the color "red" but these thank you cards I fell in love with! (I made for my cousin for her kids to give to their teachers at Xmas!)  Hope you enjoy!

Couldn't resist one fall card.... :) .....

The Start of Fall

It's hard to believe it will be the first day of Fall already on Tuesday!

Oh how I dream and wish for those cool crisp days we had when we lived up north, I would give up my 90 degree days for those right now!  So, I decided to day dream that it was cool outside and whipped up a few, <3love them <3, Thanksgiving cards.

I got some great paper at Michael's last weekend and am having fun. I still am making some Halloween Cards and have the Halloween Popcorn Treats if you need any!   Hope you Enjoy!

Tickets...Tickets...Get your Tickets Here! What a great invitation!

Just a quick post to show you a birthday party invitation I am working on this weekend for a colleague who's son is turning 10 at the end of the month!  They are having a sports themed party, so the Invitation is a "ticket" to an event, (similar to a real ticket you would get to a game/concert).  I left out the details to protect their privacy, but the template is cute.  I think they turned out great!
Close up of the actual "ticket" --the center box holds all the details of the party.
If you look close at the event box- (i got creative)  IMTRN10---her son is turing 10! :)
Back to Halloween and Thanksgiving tomorrow night!

A few Birthday cards

I also have to share a few really cute Birthday cards I made and a Birthday Card Invitation.  I had to make myself move away from the Halloween paper and stamps, it was difficult, but I survived!

This one is similar to one I did recently, but I got some new BLING and needed to add it!
A Great BDay Party Invitation-the "invite" ticket slides out of the pocket!

41 days until Halloween

I am not sure why I ever fell in love with Halloween...if it was dressing Alec up every year and taking him trick or treating, or handing out candy...I remember when Alec was in 1st grade, I dressed up for his classroom party (class mom duties!) as a vampiress and the kids loved it, Alec didn't even know it was me!   I love decorating for Halloween, a few years ago we had an awesome cemetary set up in the front yard...unfortunately, some poor low life came and stole all of our decorations/cemetary out of the yard while we were at work...so, now the inside of the house gets all decorated...  Here is a few more Halloween Cards I whipped up tonight.  I also found this really cute skeleton paper and used it for the Popcorn Covers.

Trick or Treat, definitely the Treat!

I promised you last night to show you a Halloween Treat creation, SO Here is a Yummy Halloween Treat (created thanks to the brilliant brainy idea of Mom!).  This isn't your ordinary handful of tootsie rolls, dum-dum lollipops, or if you are lucky-a mini Hershy Bar.....
This is a mini bag of popcorn (healthier than all that other stuff) with a little Halloween flair!  There is room on the back to add To:/From: if you need these for a school/class party!  Great for Halloween Party favors, or just have a few on hand to give to those extra special trick or treaters!  Contact me to order soon...Alec and Kevin have been eyeing the box of popcorn all day! :)   In the next few days I will have some more Halloween cards to share, plus a few others to throw in...
P.S.  (Thanks to my great scrapping partner/Mom for the idea!)
