Vicki and Danny's Wedding Invitations

So as you can see from my earlier posts, my girlfriend Vicki is getting married in a few weeks.  I was honored when she asked me to create her invites & wedding favors.  Here is the promised pics of the wedding invites which have all been mailed out.
I was so excited to take her wedding colors (Red and Silver) and she allowed me to design the card.  It was a lot of fun (a lot of work) but they turned out just beautiful....

It's getting close to that time of year!  Today, I finished up all my Thanksgiving Day cards and get to now eagerly dive into Christmas!  Cards - Wreaths - Decorations - Gift Tags.  As usual I have some many project ideas, materials and too little time....but with any luck - I am getting an earlier start than I typically do.  If you plan to order Christmas Cards - card bundles - decorations, etc....drop me a line soon, so I can get your order done!

Fall Wreath

I was inspired by a pin on Pinterest and decided to make this great fall wreath using wool felt to create 3 different size rosettes and applying them to a simple grapevine wreath.

Love how it turned out!

Pinterest addict

So a good friend of mine introduced me to Pinterest and I am an addict.  My husband is actually wondering why the brown truck is stopping at our house a few times per week now or I am coming home with bags from Joanne's or Hobby Lobby....

I get so inspired by pins on pinterest and say "I can do that" that I go get the materials and get busy.

So this week's projects (2) are to decorate for Halloween.

The first is subway art (free download)....I bought a cheap white frame from Ikea and spray painted it with a hammered black.  Printed my subway art onto 8x10 photo paper and placed it next to this great 1/2 price wooden carved pumpkin I picked up at Joanne's!

The second - I have done before (I made the Santa last Christmas and a Ho-Ho-Ho for my best friend)...but this design I pinned on Pinterest and loved how they were hung with ribbon.  I found paper mache letters at Joanne's (super light weight) and spray painted the back/sides.  Picked up the Halloween Scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby (50% off for a big 12x12 pad!!!) and pulled out the modpodge.  I added a few K&Co embellishments and have it hanging in the kitchen on the pantry door!

I am back....

Wow - hard to believe it has been 3 months since my last post.  Summer has come and gone - filled with tons of activity..camps, vacations, back to school.  I took a few months off from scrapbooking - but now have my mojo back!

Mojo may be do in part to a new found interest - Pinterest...have you seen it?  What a great place for ideas, inspiration BUT it does become addicting and sucks up a lot of time.

So my post today is a Halloween wreath made using scrapbook paper and my cricut to cut all the stars - I saw a Christmas wreath like this on Pinterest and said how cute - and set out to make it....

Loved how it turned out.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there!  I am going to enjoy my weekend at home, reading a good book, making some cards and swimming in the pool.  A BBQ on Sunday with my Mom and Dad to end it off!

A little crafty!

I stumbled across this great blog the other day called eighteen25... Have you seen it?  Wow - what inspiration for all crafty people.  Check it out here:  eighteen25.blogspot.com

The first thing I fell in love with was their subway art.  So with inspiration I created this gift for a very dear and close friend - who is an awesome middle school teacher.  I printed out the subway art onto glossy photo paper, bought a super cheap frame from Michaels, painted over the brown frame with a glossy apple red paint, and then once dried, I sanded it down for a retro/old look.

The second project I did was along the same line, but I found this image and knew it fit perfectly with our family and our love for road trips in the RV.  I used my iphoto image editor and "antiqued" the image so the colors will coordinate well with the interior of the RV.  Another cheap frame from Michaels, just sanded and roughed up a little.  

Ok...off to find more inspiration...

Wow...Easter is coming

I found these cute Easter Digi's over at digi stamp boutique.  With some cute DP from Claudia and Company (- you have to check out this site for the "sample packs" of 6x6 paper.  She has the latest releases and what a steal for $3 a pack!!!), fun coloring with copics, buttons, twine, ribbon, brads and liquid pearls.... oh what one to send out and what one to keep????? :)

Celebrate!

When I came across this teen boy digi from Claudia and Company I knew I needed to get it as I have a teenager and even though he thinks some of my cards are "cute" he still deserves an age appropriate card.

I had so much fun with this.  I used the SFYTT March sketch:

which you can find over at iheart2stamp march-sketch-for-you-to-try.  I also had fun using my kraft paper so I can enter it into this months the spotted chick thats-krafty-thursday-49 challenge.  Check out these talented inspirations with the links to their blogs.

I used some old DP and stuck with a brown/blue theme with throwing in a little silver with the eyelets and ribbon, colored with copics, cuttlebug embossed the large brown background and stapled those ribbons.  Well thinking about it now, without planning...brown and blue are my son's fav colors :)...

Summer time weather!

Well, it is that time of year here in south Texas that spring jumps right into summer!  Weather is already in the mid 80's and it's time to get back to the weekly yard work.  My hubby has the pool open and ready for swimming - but I like my water a little warmer before I jump in (as today it was 76 degrees brrr....). 

So with the feeling of summer in the air, I chose this cute digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps.

Well...sorry about my little hiatus from blogging - we were enjoying a spring break vacation in California and now it is back to reality...and time to get back to the scrap room as my package of papers from Claudia and Company and I can't wait to dig in!

My happily ever after...

What a cute image from Digi Stamp Boutique  I have done a few others from the "Zoe" collection (you can see in older posts on my blog) but this one has Zoe's prince with her.  When I saw it, I thought what a cute anniversary card/love card/wedding card.  When I was creating the card last night, I knew I would be saving this for my hubby and our 17th wedding anniversary this coming June as he is my happily ever after! :)

Aren't these papers the best?  These are from the new My Minds Eye collection Stella and Rose.  I will be entering this card into the DigiStamp Boutique March challenge!

When I came across this digi at Pink Cat Studio I knew I had to get it (along with all the others in the set).  My first thought was to make one for my cousin's little boy who is a dino maniac - he knows them all and is full of knowledge!

Feel Better...

Don't you just love this little gnomie?  She is bringing you get well wishes with her flowers!  This great image is one of the recent releases of digis from Pink Cat Studio.  What great coloring to my partner in scrapping (Mom!).  She colored the image to match with the papers I picked out.  Then I put the card together - pleating the ribbon and adding some liquid pearls (which came in my box of goodies from Stampers Dream - a great web store I frequently order from and the owner Michelle is super sweet!)

Paper Smooches new site here, is a new site with GREAT cling stamps and a freebie digi stamp.  I just love the look and design of these stamps (wishing and hoping for a digi line! :)).

Meet Blobby! and SFYTT February Challenge entry (my 1st!)

Blobby - isn't this the cutest little creature.  It just makes me {smile} each time I look at it.  So I decided to take Birthday Blobby and make a girl and boy card to add to my birthday card stash.
